6.5 TD just pouring out fuel

looking at the engine from the front of the truck, the fuel is just pissing out of the right side of the block. i found this picture on google where i'm pretty sure it's coming from.

it's that fabric braided hose on the left that has popped off a nipple of some sort and now fuel is pouring out of the nipple. the hose is nowhere to be found. can anyone tell me where to get a replacement hose? is it a general size like 1/4 inch or something? and where do i connect said hose to when i get it? thanks in advance.

i have found that unless you have the complete line with fittings you may end up at dealer. In hamilton/stoney creek we (as in work) us Fluidline to get lines made up.
thats the best i can do for you.

that braided line just pops on and off the nipple, wouldn't it do the same at the opposite connection point? to my knowledge this doesn't look like it needs fitting or anything other than a gear clamp.

I'm not too familiar with the 6.5 fuel system but I'm guessing from that pic that the braided clampless line is an injector fuel return line. If that is the case and the injector is blowing the line off, this could mean you have excessive injector return flow that is causing a pressure build up. This probably means there is an internal injector leak which means it is fubar. And yes, I believe they are just a simple push on fitting - not much to it. You can replace the hose and see what happens....but if it happens again, you should be pulling the injector and have it tested.
