    98 xj tranny troubles

I have a 98 xj sport automatic I sold to my daughter and son in law that we cant get through this new BS etest process.
The jeep is throwing 3 OBD2 codes. p0700 p0705 p1899. All relate to the NSS and tranny. I have pulled and rebuilt the NSS. No difference.
I have replaced the TCM. No difference.
The jeep will start in any gear with and without the NSS plugged in.
Because this etest is for the vehicle transfer it HAS to pass, can not get a conditional.
Anyone have any thoughts on what it could be or where to start looking?

If your NSS is unplugged and it still starts in any gear then the centre wire on the plug is grounded. Just a thought.

Ok. I will check that in the morning. hopefully it not too hard to trace that line through the harness.
