This little beast is now rolling around. Was doing so under its own power over the summer but needs a new set of rings. The seats are also in but needs seat belts and a roll bar along with several other smaller things.

I had built one in the late 70's and had a blast with it. I had built it in nova scotia, then drove it in Calgary and Toronto. finally sold it to a car dealer in fort Erie.

I built 4 of them (little different) in the early to mid 70's ... but none of them were road worthy. I always wanted a Meyers Manx similar to the OP's but recall them being fairly expensive back then. I've seen some driving around town over the last few years and they still look like a lot of fun.

I'd like to get one of those red things put on some 44 inch tires. I have some mog axles kicking around I've been meaning to bolt them to something. That would kickass!

The body is Berrien- Meyers knock off made in Indianappolis. The rear tires are 235/75/15 with 3" backspace and about say 3" of clearance around the current suspension. 44" tires would need some serious mods aside from just non air-cooled VW pwer.

Buggies are a lot of fun. I've been working on them for years and just recently purchased my first Jeep. Best of both worlds now!
