Cheapest car/ truck / bike for young drivers?

My kid is turning 16 this summer, I was thinking of getting him a beater motorcycle. At what engine size does insurance get ridiculous? My 200cc suzuki dirt bike is 3200 if he takes a riders course. I'd like something a bit bigger the bike is so slow I couldn't even catch a cold with it. Would a 400 or 500 be more than few hundred increase?

And how does this bigger vehicle is safer work?

After 600cc I found it starts getting pricey ,it's the age that is the biggest factor not much you can do about it. Get a quote on a cbr125 it about as cheap as your going to get.

What he said. Now, if your boy is 16, 6'2" and 200 lbs the cbr 125 isn't gonna set any land speed records either, but it may be a better choice than a 200 CC
dirt bike. The biggest challenge you are facing is that he's 16, never been insured and has no experience behind the wheel of anything.

Its 's cruel world for our kids now

When I was 18 20 years ago I bought a 1980 trans am. My insurance agent said 4600a year and I almost had a heart attack. I'm going to call him again with a few different bikes in mind

Thank god im not your insurance agent, you may want to call 911 before calling around for motorcycle insurance for a M1 rider who is 16 becasue your going to have a heart attack. LOL Good luck. I cant even offer up a quote, we wont insure him.
