Yet another Cobra 75 WXST install

I recently installed a Cobra 75 wxst into my latest TJ and followed several other writeups on this but wasn't happy with any of the mic / handset locations.

In past Jeeps with other CB mics I've used a regular CB clip just to the left of the ignition switch using the existing panel screw. With the 75wxst it was too low to see the screen and that big coiled cable was a bit annoying as well.

Using a bit of coathanger and a pair of pliers I fashioned up a clip that holds the mic up higher, doesn't require drilling any new holes and took 5 minutes to bend up.

It doesn't rattle, holds the mic nice and securely and you can see the screen perfectly from the drivers seat.

Oh, and best of all it's free.

Here is the connector box in behind the glove box

And the rest are the bent up bit of heavy wire and install....
