    Titan Winches

Bought a Titan winch TW12 in 2011 has worked awesome for me!
I recently ran into a problem with my wireless plug in as one of the male ends have broke off, due too corrosion.
I phoned Titan winch only to find out they are no longer in business and are switching company's. They looked for the part I needed and had none, pretty much said I am out of luck and hope I find the parts im looking for.WTF?

Anyways could anyone help me find this part, would any store work? I am from a small town with limited access to the big stores. Thanks Click image for larger version.

I have seen where people have switched the plug to a 4 prong plug. Same one you would use on a trailer, easy to install, easy to get.... most crappy tires, P.A.

Corrosion on these winches is not uncommon.
I used about pictured item to fix my winch plug on a Superwinch

    lol

I wouldn't spend a bunch of money on a fancy plug cause your Titan is likely near its expiry date. Just use a cheapy trailer plug like Cheezy said

That would be me and it wasn't TMR that hooked me up. It was Titan, but I have a feeling I got the last one...

But yes I did mount it into my dash for convenience and to avoid such problems from happening again.

No to winch someone, I don't even have to get out to plug in my wired or wireless remote. All their mess and fuss. I just drive and operate the winch lol.

Did this to mine, still going strong. Word of advice, put the plug on the side of the control box and seal off hole where the old one is. That will help keep water out.

Last pic is of the wire coming out of the side of the box. I used 4 wire trailer wire that comes in round casing and a grommet to see the box.

The rest should be pretty self explanatory but feel free to as any questions you want.

Had a winch I lost the remote for so I just wired up in cab controls. Just run 3 wires to the cab from where the pins on the winch control plug go. One will be powered full time, I put an on/off switch on that, then I put a momentary spdt (on/off/on) switch on the others with the line out from the first switch the the center pin of the second. Even now that I have a remote the only thing I have ever used it for was spooling the rope after cleaning.

    Titan Winches

^ what he said. I added in cab controls this year and haven't pulled the remote out since. The only thing I can add to that is some winches require more than 3 wires to be run as they switch both power and ground to the solenoids at the same time. Not sure why but that's the way some are designed.
