    It's Tires Time!!!

Are you bored, wanna help me spend my money? Help me pick out some new tires!

Ok so my BFG A/T 35's are pretty much on their last legs 4 years later. I'm in the market for new tires.

    The Rules:

    1. 35's, been there done that, time for 37's!!!
    2. They are for my daily driver TJ, aka mall crawler, flame on if you must but try to be constructive and contribute to please.
    3. Since they are for a DD mall crawler, road manners and tread live are far more important than offroad capabilities.
    4. Road noise is NOT a concern!
    5. Aggressive looking is a plus, but again tread life and road manners trump looks and offroad capabilities.
    6. Less rolling mass is a plus.
    7. Good in snow is a huge plus
    8. Looking for 17"-20" but leaning towards 17" due to cost savings (yes I'm going to be getting rims too).
    9. If you are going to link me to something used, it better be damn near new!
    10. If you want to suggest rims too, feel free too, but I'm picking and everyone has different rim tastes.

I have been extremely happy with my BFG A/T's, so much so that I am considering getting them again but in 37's. And I hate buying the same tire twice, been there done that, want to try something new. I had my mind made up on Micky Thompson ATZ. But then they went and cancelled that line and came out with the ATZ P3. No thanks! Every JK that comes off of the local dealer lot has a rim and tire package from Offroad Addiction with the ATZ P3. So everybody and their brother has them!

Get the new generation bfg with the side grips.....they are to compete with the GY Duratracs.

Either or....both really good in the snow

The new gen BFG only come in a limited amount of sizes right now and I think they are ugly. Honestly a very good suggest given my criteria though!

Spinners and Thornbirds is definitely the panty dropping combo for sure!

Though, I would question the quality of tail that combo would attract....

Duratracs win in my book......good tread life and I think they look aggressive, also low road noise, sniping for winter and excellent offroad (mall parking lot gardens)

Toyo open country At2 extreme- have them on my h2 and love them. Aggressive tread for an a/t with little road noise. I do notice they float on the snow and hydroplane a bit. They have been great on the snow but I'm also driving a h2.

If you're looking for a good deal and don't mind driving an hour to cambridge. Contact Ed at tire depot.ca. Tell him Shawn with the white hummer sent you and he will bend over backwards for you. Good guy.

    Tempting just to bug people.

Right now under heavy consideration is:

    1. BFG A/T
    2. Open Country AT2 extreme
    3. BFG M/T
    4. Open County /T

I'm still looking for other options.

ever look into the falken a/t? big down with our friends across the border or the nitto terra grappler since your after a road friendly tire... or the interco truxxus (not sure how long they will last though kinda soft)

    dick cepek fun country a/t?

I cant say which ones are better then others have never ran or liked all terrain tires after seeing buddies try them on their mall crawling big trucks having trouble in rain and snow all the time would rather just go all out mud tire or just stay stock hahaha

my vote though buy tsl boggers or swampers or pitbulls hahaha

I have Falken Wild peak A/Ts on my Yukon in a 37x12.5x17. I like them. Not very aggressive but nice in the snow. My 4wd isn't working and I barely notice.

I to am in the market for some new shoes and have been strongly leaning towards these. I 'm sticking with 35's and these are available in 285/75/18 which works out to 34.8x11.2R18. A little narrower than a 12.5 which should help the rolling resistance.
