    I have this buggy ORV green plated as well. I still need a tag made up with my new home built VIN#

    shopping for INSURANCE too....... i have my cars and house with Statefarm. They are willing to insure me......not sure how much.

    Nice score. but AFAIK, once something has been registered as green plated it can not be reverted. not sure if/how you might be able to get around that if you are rebuilding it with a tub that has a valid certification.

    I've personally drove this buggy a bit and I think it's pretty bad azz. You got yourself a pretty serious rig that should work good and take a beating. I bet you could get the trans shifting a lot better if you redesigned the goofy shifter linkage. Cool rig

    it's alright I have a few things to do to keep me busy, including moving the seat forward and higher, plus redoing the cage.

    Did you run it at Gopher dunes? I really don't like how hard reverse is, it's very stiff but again I think it's the linkage and it was very cold.

    Definitely shouldn't be that hard to shift - getting into first is a bit harder (no syncro), but that's it. Learned to drive in a Dodge with one.

    No, I ran it a bit behind the previous owners place. It's got lots of balls and sounds awesome when you get on the throttle. I've looked at the shifter linkage before and think it could be improved with some new rod ends and maybe a tweak in geometry.

    I sprayed all the linkage today which help considerably. I will be changing it for sure. I need to trim the shifter as well.
