    Camel Trophy Land Rover rallies

A pretty cool find, sad that in the later years it became more like an amazing race show and less about working your 4x4 well and pushing themselves to the limit.http://youtu.be/UGWp8R-IqoE

They should have added a max weight pulling contest, I think all the spectators would enjoy watching a Camel Tow.

    Awesome video.
On my bucket list, is to do real jeep overland exploring like that.
But, I would do it slow and camp and explore.
Funny thing is, they are all STOCK rigs.
    Look at those tiny tires.
    Probably, open open diffs.
To put stock rigs through that kind of shit is amazing.

the promoters though about it but after a few Camel tow passes the track looked like this . and this was just from the light weight class ..got worse as the Camel tow got heavier and wider ..

At 1:02 my mind was blown. Crossing a river that way is unimaginable. I wish it was in HD.

I don't think only the freelander is the only one that might have locking difs as an option land rovers have lockers stock, but ya thats crazy but just look what they were driving through in WW2 with most of the Jeeps with those crappy bald military issue tires.
