I'm almost certain they will. I've fixed the floors in 1988 through 1991 , and the mounting is identical. Never physically swapped the two types though.

I own(ed) about 6-7 xjs from '88 through '98, and I can say the very best seats they offered were the ones in my 1991 Larado model. The 1998 ones I'm sitting in now are garbage in comparison. In the 80's models some had a very unique rolling tilt thing going on with the adjustment. Hard to explain till you try it, but they rolled on curved tracks for the tilt back adjustment. VERY heavy setup.

In case anyone is following the wj seats mounted to the XJ brackets perfectly. The seat fits and feels great

I'm following. You got any pictures? What kind/year of WJ seats? Power options? How do they look? Fit good? Any interference with door or console?

I'd love to swap out my XJ seats for plush WJ limited leathers

    xj seat swap

Easy swap. Been there done that and pulled them a week later. Power options are do-able but you'll have to run your own power wires. They run free and clear of everything
