1998 Jeep Cherokee, 2 door xj

I've driven this jeep for the past 3 years and have replaced/upgraded many many parts. E test is still valid. The only thing I can think of for safety is a front drivers side u-joint. I have an extra shaft with a good u-joint, and 2 brand new u-joints in a box ready to be installed that will come with the jeep. Also, maybe the tires as the dot date is over 10yrs. The tires have lots of tread, but 1 or 2 are out of balance and they should be replaced due to their age. Everything works. A/C works. I replaced the mechanical fan with an electric fan, installed a larger alternator, and changed the belt routing. Battery is less than 1 yr old. It has 351k and no carpets. No cracks in the windshield. The rockers and rear quarters were rusted, so I welded in new metal myself. In the process of welding, I melted a bit of the passenger side door panel. The drivers door has no rust, but the passenger side is rusted on the bottom. This would be a really good jeep if you finish the body work. I don't really want to get rid of it, but I'm driving a WJ that the wife likes better. I would like $1,500, but don't be afraid to insult me with an offer or trade.

It has a front hitch and older style front bumper for better clearance. The alternator was replaced around the same time as the battery, about a year ago. No power windows. I installed power locks (door switches from a cavalier), and a Viper alarm and auto starter - awesome for winter.

More information and pictures to follow, I'm posting this with my cell phone.

The pictures shown are with new winter tires, I had a set of 5 tires from a Caravan. The winter tires are, if I remember correctly, 215/65R16, which is a smaller than stock. They might be sold to a family friend, and if so, I'll ask $1,000obo. Is this a fair price?

The xj has a Sony xplod CD deck with aux input and an iPod jack. All the speakers are Kicker.

351,500km. Engine, auto transmission, and transfer case all work good. About 2 yrs ago I installed a 99+ intake and neon injectors, and with the electric fan, it runs really smooth. Just about all of the seals have been replaced, it doesn't leak a drop. Rear main seal, valve cover, oil pan, front axle seals, etc.
