    cutting wheel centers

It's for an atv but i think it fits in this sub forum better. My atv has 11 inch rims and is the only atv with that bolt pattern so i cant get a replacement, but i need 12 inch rims. What j need is 2 wheel hub areas cut out and welded to a differrent rim. bolt pattern and centering hole differrent. What's the best way of doing that? I can't change the hub as I would need to worry about axle splines and brakes, etc. I can do the welding but I don't have a lathe to cut the wheel centre's out. How would one go about it? Or how would one make a wheel adaptor? The old 11 inch wheel is 4x140 new is 4x110

A good time to invest in spf3000 if you live on the NK penninsula.

You sure that 4X140 is what your quads axles are? Royal distributing catalog shows lots of rims in 4X137 and 4X144. What year and make/ model?

99 suzuki king quad 300. Some 250 used the same bolt pattern and some of the kei mini trucks but not in 12 inch

I found some super swamper vampire tires in the right diameter and rim but they're a little wide, it might be easier to to make a .75 or 1 inch thick wheel spacer

Catalog doesn't even show a king quad 300 just 400 and up. Only thing I can think of is goto the dealer and see if they can help. If not try calling itp wheels and see if they can find anything. I wouldn't risk the whole cutting/welding route

Why going to bigger rims? Just want to keep the tires you have?

No help from ITP or dealer. Old tires are worn and I love a new tire but it only comes in 12 inch rims. I could get a kenda bear claw for these rims but the tires I want have 1 1/8 thread vs 3/4 for the bear claws.

any reputable machine should be able to do that. without proper tools i wouldn't try this yourself as your cuts have to be precise for balance etc. but a shop could do it easily..

Royaldistributing.com 2015 summer catalog shows tons of tires for 11 inch rim up to 12 inch wide. They are located in Guelph and are clearing all the old stock right now

    cutting wheel centers

Could contact tmr, don't know if it's a service they still offer but I did see them do it for a set of forklift wheels so I'm sure they have the ability.

I'll check royal distributing. Maybe one day I'll find a nice lathe somewhere then I'll upgrade
