    Compression Issues 2.5L Yj

    1993 YJ
    2.5L

Running really rough. Had a leak at the sending unit so replaced that.
    Still running rough.

Changed plugs (really black), checked injectors, cap and rotor good.
    Compression tested each cylinder
    Cyl 1 - 150psi
    Cyl 2 - 60psi
    Cyl 3 - 60psi
    Cyl 4 - 150psi

Can anyone validate that this is a timing issue and perhaps the timing belt jumped a tooth.
93 YJ - Stock 2.5L inline 4, 4" Rough Country Lift, 1.5" Shackles, 33" BFG's, SYE yet to be installed, Raptor Liner Sprayed, CB, Stereo that goes BooM, Aussie locker front, XJ solid shafts, tube fenders by Tubular Metalworx, 8500lb winch, Garvin swing away tire carrier and clearly far too much time on my hands. No roof, no doors and two screaming kids in the back.

No belt on a 2.5. It's a chain. It is possible for the chain to skip a tooth but it's not too common. I believe these engines have a chain tensioner that could be a wearable item.

Do a wet test on 2 and 3 if the numbers don't change much possible head gasket.
