    Bumper for a J Truck

Been meaning to fab one up for quite some time. Finally put in a few hours of beers and fabbin Friday eve and a couple last night with some random steel i had laying around. No real plan just started cutting. Only bolts on this bumper are the 10 that hold the beast of warn winch in.

The stocker aluminium and said winch.

Base plate and ribbing to the crossmember

    Some side plating and gusseting

Some shaped side pieces, capped and tacked in

Trimmed a couple inches of the tub on the front to tuck it in as much as possible.

    And another shot

Need to pull the sides back off for final weld, add a couple more gussets here and there, cut and/or unmangle some beat up corner tub panels, add some d-ring tabs and so on but that's about the jist of it. Maybe some sort of brush guard. I'll add some more pics as i get it finished off. Then it'll be on to a rear bumper...............at some point. lol

Thanks buddy. Was shooting to finish it last night but ran out of welding gas, borrowed the neighbours and it ran out too. Son of a......

Got a bunch of the welding done tho and plasma'd some d-rings tabs and tested and re-spooled the winch. Works mint! Need to hunt down an old roller fairlead now. Used to have a bunch but i think i must have scrapped them

A few odds and sods to do but that's about it. Hook up the winch, pull it back out and park it back in line with the rest of them. Lol

And just so you know, no drill bits were harmed in the making of this bumper. Lol

1/2" passed through for the d-ring then another little halfer guy welded to it. Beefy

A little triangulated strength and then capped it

Then gave it a splash. Rear bumper up next in the new year
