Yup it drowned to the top of the steering wheel. Doing some google-fu im wondering if the passlock system is pooched. There is a reset technique i'll try and there's also a passlock bypass that can be done with a resistor which might be worth a try too. The security light was on at first and/or intermittently but there's nothing at all on now. No dash lights at all since the episode and only battery and oil pressure seem to be working. Might swap out the gauge cluster with a spare at the neighbors. It's a 01 chev but should work i think. Also pulled the computer and popped it open but it seems dry.

Does it have a remote start it could also be sending a signal to shut it down.

So more than likely someone has had one put in. I don't know much about how they work but I know my car has one and it would only start and run for about 10s or less too. Mind you that was with the fob. I took it in and was told the unit under the dash wash fawked. And they just put it in valet mode. Maybe the water did something to yours. Was also told that it would cause there starter to not kick out after starting and this is why it shuts off again.

edit: The starter would disengage but keep spinning.

With my model of car starter it's was just a matter of cycling the key, holding the brake pedal, touching your nose and having a drink of beer Or something like that to turn off or put it in valet mode. I just had to googled how to do it

Haven't looked into the remote starter yet but may be worth a check. I tried the crank, sit 10 minutes, off and repeat for a total of 3 times to reset shit but no dice. Swapped the gauge pod to see if any different lights came on and no dice. All i have is volts, oil pressure and engine light.......but no codes. Weird. Also tried the passkey bypass which if is buggered sends a bad code to the computer from the BCM and shuts down injectors after a second or so. Still haven't swapped crank sensor yet which i should have done earlier so i'll do that this eve. Another odd thing is the security light was on for a few days after but not anymore. She till runs on brake clean sprayed into the intake.......well until it back fires and catches the intake tube, airfilter box and inner fender on fire. lol. After fire extiguishing that out i called it quits and left. Oh, and a couple pics of said passkey bypass. Have to cut some wires and check ohm's from ignition then rig up some resistors with matching or close ohm to trick it. 2 old dvd players smashed apart later we had this booger soldered resistor. lol

With the lack of warning lights, sounds like a sub system isnt powering up. Fuses all good? ASM relay is good? Is the lift pump in the tank buzzing when you put key in run position?
03 Rubicon with stuff to make it gooder

Best i can tell all fuses seem good and fuel pump is working

Pulled crank sensor and it was moist so dried and di-electric'd it. Then got fed up and hauled it out of the shop and pulled the heep back in. I'll likely haul it back in in the next few days or the weekend and pull more sensors and disco the exhaust.
