TJ Factory Sub - How to test

The sub in my TJ isn't working. Fuse is good, and after removing the speaker looks fine.

There is a 12 conductor plug for the sub.

Speaker "visually" looks good, but it seems there is an amp in the plastic housing. I haven't tried to remove as I don't know what I'd be looking for.

Does anyone know how to test if it's still working?
