i bought my pro tools from TMR as well. it's a great bender. not sure what quality the princess auto bender is, but it is a nice looking tool at a price that's hard to beat.

Thanks for the heads up guys, I was looking at what TMR had but was hoping to find something used to save a few bucks.

I assume at those choices the budget is small for this request. as in a manual machine? Just wondering ...........

It's a Tubing bender, if you can't tell the difference by looking at it then you need to do some research...

i know that princess auto ad says pipe bender, but it looks remarkably like my pro tools 105HD. i've seen and used pipe benders before and they don't look like that.

i think this one is a true tubing bender. it even looks like pro tools dies may even work with it.

Agreed with Caged princess auto has a china knock off of pro tools now it is a tube bender it draws the tube through uses similar dies and all but have no idea on the tolerances and how long it would last and its only like 300$ cheaper all said and done when you compare packages...

If your not bending a lot of tube all the time most guys who own one will rent it out for a day if you go by there shop and toss em a few bucks and some beer bend your shit and go on with life it is a big investment to have sitting around and never use....

depending on the project invvoled sometimes smarter /cheaper/less headache to use a good/pro chassis builder from this site. there are a few
excellent builders here. great work , do it right reasonable prices. they have the knowledge, experience , equipment to do the job right the first time. sometimes not worth trying this stuff when ur life depends on a professional weld. see tmr. just lift to name a few . bubb

I agree if your not going to use it often then its not smart to buy either one and your best just pay someone to bend up what you need however its a lot more then $300 difference
as the Pro Tools one for $1299 comes with 1 die set and since die sets are roughly $200-$300 per set the PA one is $1269 and comes with 4 die sets so price wise the PA bender is the way to go...

Well my buddy just bought this Princess auto tube bender and it actually
comes with 5 die sets and has a very beefy stand and all parts look great
plus it was on sale for $899 and he was getting expensive prices from
Shops he asked to bend him up some tube for his project Jeep and it was
just cheaper to buy the bender even if only used once.

So now I have a bender to play with for a while and see
how well this thing works out.

What size dies did the princess auto bender come with? I saw it advertised with 3 on the website but that would seem to be incorrect .

    Die sets are
    1"
    1.25"
    1.5"
    1.75"
    2"

Basically all the dies you will ever need, fitment was a little tricky but once it is done and working you don't need to mess with it again... The Hydraulic adapter and ram are NOT included with the bender, We made it hydraulic with some builder parts...

Over All Its a nice unit and I am very happy with it even if it wont last as long as say a Name brand bender...
