Hey everyone, just want to say hi.

Bought my first jeep ever, always wanted one.
    Non running 1989 with a 4.2
Looking forward to working on it. Has some rust, frame looks good, just looking for some advise and direction on parts and common jeep stuff. Parts interchange from one year to the next or even other vehicles. Stuff like that. Maybe replacement pieces for common rusted areas, or just make my own????? No nothing about jeeps but I know my way around a shop pretty good.

    Thanks guys

Quick question, what's the site of choice for replacement/restoration parts?
    Panels, body mounts, weatherstrip, etc.?

Any of that stuff I've always sourced local off of Kijiji to be honest. Always deals to be had from someone parting one out. New? I would just go aftermarket upgrades for fenders and what not. Just Jeeps here in Toronto has a full line of replacement items. They're also full of knowledge. I would suggest Synergy full body mount kit. Polyurethane is the way to go.

If you need new OE spec replacement parts, Crown automotive has the largest and most comprehensive inventory of parts for older jeeps. Many of the largest aftermarket Jeep parts suppliers carry Crown so it is easy to get.

They ship out of the US so a US shipping address is beneficial.
