    AMC 360 dipstick tube

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a dipstick and tube for a 360? I just picked up a new Jeep and the tube is missing. Thanks.

Most of the time, you have to bore out the hole in the block about .020" to get the replacement tube to fit properly. It isn't the end of the world and can be done with a drill bit and some grease to stop shavings from falling into the pan.

Any shop that deals with Omix-Ada or Crown can get one for you. 4 Wheel parts, Jeepman's Off road, etc...

Bulltear makes the exact fit part if you do not want risk being stuck boring out the block but it is almost 4 times as much money.

Thats perfect, thanks. I just picked up a J10 to restore and am learning that its a lot harder to find parts for it than for a TJ!

I just noticed that there is a bolt in place of where the tube had been. would that mean that someone has already drilled the stock hole out?

No point in guessing. If you have some Vernier calipers, measure the hole. The Bulltear site has the dimensions to reference.
