    swr meter

Hey everyone, recently installed my CB into the jk but have yet to use it since I haven't tuned the antenna and don't want to fry my radio. I was looking to see if anyone in the Mississauga area has an swr meter and has experience tuning a firestik antenna and would be willing to help out a fellow jeeper. I've never set up a CB before so this is all new to me and I hate to damage a new radio cause of a new mistake.

Awesome, I actually work out in Burlington at Brant and upper middle. I may have to take you up on that offer and meet up with you some day after work if I can't get this sorted locally.

thanks for the offer guys, i managed to find an swr meter on amazon and got to tuning the antenna today. Spent about 30 minutes of trimming slowly and happy with the results. Ch.1 1:1 and ch. 40 1.4:1 i figure i'm good here and dont want to muck around any futher.

I just grabbed a meter myself. 1:3 on channel 1 and 1:4 on channel 40.

I highly recommend the Wilson flex. I got th 3' length and can bend it 180 degrees with not issues all day long. Great little antenna
