    Wagoneer Snorkel?

81 Waggy, 360 carbed. Such thing as a snorkel? And if so, how do you stop rain water from entering the top, or do not point the inlet forword?

Just curious, because my Jeep floks to water.. check my vid in me sig, you'll understand.. and again, if you view the vid, please excuse lanuage.
Here is a recent vid of my waggy.. and please excuse the foul language.. not too proud of it myself:

Was taken on Vancouver Island, BC.

The Safari brand Snorkels are points forward. They've got a drain cock in them too.

You can make your own out of ABS pipe. You could then have it point any which way you want. I intend on making one since I blew my last engine by hydrolocking it.
I might do it this weekend if it's raining, simply because I'm not welding in the rain. If I do it, I'll post pics.

Is there a diff in PVC, and ABS?

For sure let me know how it turns out ILM.

I just do not see how it will work with a carb.. I have had 2 inches of water in my intake, and she never missed a beat, but do not want to risk hydrolocking.. but even with snorkle, I have a vent coming off my oil cap...

Doesn't the crank case need to breath?
