I wouldn't believe much that an insurance company tells you in regards to illegal shit.
    Insurance does some illegal things.

UM I have to disagree with that statement
44's is the biggest you can go in Ont.

The 44" rule is an old wise tail.
ANY DOT approved tire is legal for use in Ontario.

Which includes all of Interco's tire lineup, including the 49" Irok and the 54" Bogger. 53" Michileins are also approved.

Well shit learn somthing new everyday.....the DOT thing makes sence.....just was always told(and the father n 'law was told by DMV last year) that 44's where the biggest you could have in Ont.

BUT man bigger than 44's.....frig that's alot of tire.....I know a couple guys that have 44's(TSL's and Boggers) and they are so friggin huge

Just proves how they are crooks... I would be careful wading around in those waters, as I am sure if something happens with those tires on the Jeep and them having told you they are not legal they may find that grounds to not cover you should anything happen. Wouldnt be the first time someone got totalyl screwed by an insurance company, even though they are the ones not being on the up and up... But I might just be paranoid...

I have at least 2 freinds that wrote off sport bikes and the claim was refused because they had K & N air filters in them. That means the bike was 'altered' from the factory state. When you put on an aftermarket exaust, forget about ever getting a claim payed.

Insurance is a total crock of shit in Ontario. Enough so that I'm almost tempted to move, almost.

Getting my Toyota insured is a pain in the ass so far, I haven't tired many companies but a few said no because it was 25yrs old, wtf, eat me.
I guess I shouldn't tell them that it's going to have big tires too.

those guys that claims got refused beacuse of K&N's it was beacuse they didnt have the filters listed when they insured the bikes. when you get the vehicles picture taken for insurance it most likely will be done by a local shop unless your insurance company is in town share your concersn with them and have them take documented photos of the dot ratings on the tires

insure it as a historic vehicle tony. liability only, say you only drive it on sanction club outings. or go to insurancehotline.com they are good at finding the one or two ok companies in the pile of insurance shit.
