Honda stock muffler on a cavalier

Want to take off the performance muffler on the cav and put on a stock muffle from a civic...can it be done?

Yup, but i'm gonna take a bit of a guess and say it'd be just plain stupid. The exhaust will likely be differetn diameters and then your just giving yourself a bottleneck and hindering performance.

Civic muffler designed for 1.6 or 1.7L. Cav has 2.2 or 2.4. More flow + small muffler = restriction.

    Get it done right.

I hate to say that I am that cheap right now...just bought a house and have little to no cash! I am however going o just grab a replacement from somewhere to make it easier and just give the ractive to my buddy! Thanks for you input guys, and Noltz you are bang on with the engine size and restriction, don't know why I didn't think of that!
