cut the floor out to fit in the box 4 rocks and clocked flat dana 300 with Tom Woods driveline e-brake

This one is hard to describe, its a SUB-sub frame that is just meant to suport the B4R/D300 set up on the back of the tranny and tie it all together so I don't break another tranny case.

this is the actual cross member that supports the whole thing on the frame. It is odd shaped to squeeze between the separate flat skid plate, go around the e-brake and use 2 tranny mounts as pictured above

There was a good post on air bags a while back on Pirate. Think it was general 4x4.

Looking good Chris, can't wait to see the end.

I am debating about a panhard for simplicity or a watts link to keep it centered perfectly.

The panhard will move the axle in an arc as it travels up and down which is not what I want. Considering I can adjust the height in the fly up to 14", the axle could conceivably move 2" side to side.

The watts link is also know as a bell crank.

more planning and fab involved but could work better once it is set up correctly.

I think I will limit it to 12" or 13" so I don't tear the bags.

    Still lots to do!

As for the air bag set up... Hodgi is the brain behind that one. Each bag will have separate controls for height and hopefully a valve between the 2 bags that I can open up for a forced articulation type deal. The air would be squeezed out of one bag to fill up the other for max articulation. Closing the valve will keep the same pressure in both bags for better control on the street. Depending on recommendations from Hodgi I will either be running an all air set up with air powered valves or electrically controlled, not sure yet.

Chris... you brought TEH tech!!! HAHAHA
Yer welds are lookin good with that flux core too! That vertical weld looks just as good as most I have seen on PBB. But you know a pretty weld doesn't mean it's strong

So the bags will be the ONLY suspension for your rear end? No back up system if you were ever to tear a bag? (knocks on wood)

I'm not sure if you seen the thread I posted on Pirate but if you have any Q's maybe ask "cherokee pete"

"Ya, thats mine from 2 years ago, i've run a rear 1 link for 6 years now, never a problem, rear steer is minimal, when flexed out about 24 wopping inches in the rear the joint is just about maxed out and it wont let the axle steer any more than 1 inch forward, you might think that 1 inch of rear steer is alot but remember the axle is dropped 2 feet in down travel.
tip, keep your panhard bar (track bar) parallel to the axle and as long as possible.

p.s. is 2 feet downtravel still alot nowadays? propably not"

He's a canuck too! Where ever the hell Keswick ON is
