    Chev P-Steerng Pulley Install?

Replaced the power steering pump on my '91 Chev 1500. But how does the pulley go back on? I don't see where there are any threads inside the shaft to use to draw the pulley back on. (was pretty dark out) Anyone know what size bolt will run into the shaft?
    DONE with it!

not to sure. i can go out and check. You need a special tool for this, unless you can make your own. I paid 50$ for mine. I'll go measure the bolt size anyway.

5/16" but i think you would be better off buying the removal/installation tool.

Thanx man, yeah, I got the removal tool from Partsource, but I guess it doesn't double duty for pressing the pulley back on.

The Chilton says to just press it back on using a bolt, nut, and socket. I'll just go to PA and buy the kit I guess.

Pisses me off when what should be a simple job turns into days and running around for specialty tools.

    Thanx bro!
