    Dd/ww 5.9l Zj

From my last build going down the drain i decided to post up the new Jeep i have purchased and slowly up date it as i build it.

    I traded my 87 YJ for a 98 Jeep Grandcherokee Ltd. 5.9L

My first future plans so far are:
    3.5 RE lift
    BDS adjustable trackbar
    31" M.t
    Mickey Thompson Classic II rims
    Front tow hooks

First day i owned the jeep

First thing is first is to get it on the road....

The jeep came as is so off to the garage it went for a safty.

I knew from the way it was steering it needed something up front and it turned out all 4 ball joints needed to be replaced, track bar, tie rod end at the pitman arm.

Sooo $400 later and some sweat and blood...

WOW, what a difference in control now!
I still havn't replaced the trackbar yet. I thought since i plan on lifting it and i have to replace it anyways, i would go with a adjustable track bar.

Is that what the knocking noise was from the front? I never really found a problem with steering or control while driving it.

There are some days I regret dealing that thing, it will be a sweet rig for you, being able to wheel in luxury, but I have been happy with the YJ so far and have started on it, and putting up a build thread on it now too.

    Update:

When i got the jeep i was given a 242 TC to swap into it, so last weekend i did the swap. Turned out i needed to swap input gears from the 249 over to the 242. After that everything went well.

Did a little wheeling at a friends private trail, and firgured out that the jeeps not black, but a gunmetal-grey colour.

Yeah the 2" BB does look nice, did you change out the shocks @ the same time you installed the B.B.? This is the same BB that is listed as a 1.5" lift on Natinoal4wd's website I assume? (thats my next plan).
Time frame it took to install it?
