Warn Rear bumper with Tire carrier

I am planing on buying the warn rear bumper and tire carrier. I would like to hear from anyone thats has this setup. How do you like it,or not? Where did you buy it from and who has the best price? I have done a search and read the posts. I would just like to hear some new feedback. Thanks.

I've got that bumper on my 05 Unlimited.
I picked it used from a JK member. I needed a hitch and it has one built in.Just needed to add tow hooks. It's very solid, just don't hi-lift from the W in the bumper. It bent the W.

You'd think I'd leard from my mistakes the 1st time I lifted my XJ's Warn from the same spot

I was jogging by one by my place, it was on a new Jk and the "W" was all rusted around it. It caught my eye. I was thinking, It's a Jk... And it couldn't have been on there all that long and it's starting to rust?

we have this on our tj and it has rusted to shit over the winter. apparently, this is pretty common for the warn bumper but it looks terrible. going to have to sand it down and re-paint it so it does not get any worse.

I was thinking about the same thing for my TJ when I was at Just Jeeps last weekend but Stu recommended the SMF rear bumper with tire carrier. He said they're better quality than the Warn but also the SMF bumper has two tow points with pin shackles on it and a hitch receiver where as the Warn has no tow points and only the hitch receiver. I think the SMF was $900 so for a few more bucks I'm considering the SMF.

That's good! Winching open a carrier . My wife's old Pathy had the same problem.

I always thought the Warn looked good, but it's just a swing carrier, and when you have to pay big bucks for something that really doesn't do whole lot but says Warn on it, it might make you think twice.

I didn't realize they rusted so bad. Must be the powdercoat they use. As for the hinge - I guess you could custom fit a zerk to it... But then you're customizing an expensive Warn product, so why did you go with it?

Warn products are probably developed in the states where there is little or no salt during the winter. Its the same as SKYHACKER products ( who I may add, no longer warrantees their product in Canada ) You have to d alot of research before spending big coin on a vehicle aftermarket part so that you get the best bang for the buck.

Yea, but you have to remember that Glenns Warn has been repowder coated a different colour, and I really wouldnt be surprized to find contamination on the hinge pin.

I don't want to put any wrenches in your spokes, but have you taken a look at "Koz Offroad" for your rear bumper & swing out?

    http://www.kozoffroad.com/

Nice stuff and really good pricing. I'd send a pic of one on my Jeep, if I knew how to Check my photo album on my profile page.

Can I get a pic of your swing out rack.I have the Warn bumper. But I'm looking at fab'in up the swing out tire rack. Most important shots are each end.The end where it swings on,and the end where it locks.Close up shot of the locking piont is what I need most. Not sure how I'm goona lock down the suck'er.I think? I can but a lock for this.??? I think I seen guys use something.?? when they have fab'd a bumper.

IF so this would be most helpful.
I refuse to pay $500.oo for the swind out tire rack.

If you don't get any pics from anyone, look at my photo album in my profile page. I just put some up. Fabed by "Koz Offroad" and coated with "Line-X" spray on bed liners (lifetime guarantee)
