Wasn't too sure and got angry so i just ripped it out. Didn't think it was the clutch cause i did it the summer before last, it looks fine. Pretty sure it's the input bearing in the tranny.

Gonna go back out tonight and have a look see.

Yup, no noise with clutch in, let out and it grinds/hums/howls and is hard to get into gears. Louder when warm. Just kind of all of a sudden happened tho.

Gonna go have a snoop in a bit.

Well, finally running again. Got my new old tranny a few weeks ago and it has been a whore of a battle. Had problems with the slave, master, pilot bearing, etc, etc. So after the tranny came off and on a few times, Fawk, she finally runs. Also rigged up some new limiting straps in the front and fixed my panhard angle after the OTK. Will post a couple pics soon. Who puts an 88 YJ tranny in a 97 TJ.

Here is my new slave cylinder tho. Grand total $15.99

    Love your built!
Where did you find the program to figure out control arm length
    and etc?
Why didn't you go with a 1 ton axle set up?

Thanks man. Calculators are here http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=204893
Got a deal on the built 3/4 tons. Probably 5 times cheaper than building tons.

I was looking at your results from the calculater from pirate and it seems you have a lot of overstear as the suspension flexis. that will cause undesirable handling driving on the roads. try to aim for ±1 deg if you can. everything else looks ok. what adjustment do you have to play with for antisquat?

    Thanks for the link!
Where did you source the 3/4 ton axles from?
Why would it have been 5 times cheaper then 1 tons?

Been over a year since i wrapped my head around the numbers. All my upper mounts are adjustable and i'm also running limiting straps. Mind you i haven't adjusted them because i pretty much built it to where i wanted it. Guess the extra holes were just to be cool. LOL. It drives down the road a hell of a lot better than then it did with 33's and a bolt on 4" lift so i'm happy. When you are talking antisquat and road manners if you wanna get real technical you also have to factor in % of front to rear braking.

Anyways, i lined everything up the best i could in a tiny shoebox crooked garage drunk, ran the numbers and adjusted accordingly. I can guarantee those numbers you see aren't exactly how it turned out but should be pretty close. Never did go back and remeasure once it was finished. Been driving it on the road for a year and beat the piss out of it about 6 weekends last year and it loved it. Got me home every time.

    Someone once said

Magic numbers are bullshit. Who's magic numbers?

Put the shit where it fits. Stick to the rules of angles and seperation and run it.

Dont like it, change it up.

To much goes into "running numbers", that are based off inaccurate inputs in the first place.

    Just build it.

Wow am i bored at work. LOL. Cheers

Got them mostly built off someone locally who was going to tons. 5 times is a guess but $1000+ for junk yard tons then gears, lockers, brakes, rebuilding, kingpins, etc., etc. So much cheaper and easier buying built IMO
