Thanks buddy. The skins do need to be cut off, trimmed and mounted proper. Got lazy and time ran out so i just tacked them on. Mind you it will make mounting tabs easier for line up. lol. It's likely going to sit outside and rot under a tarp till i get back in February. My mind is already in trip mode. lol

So back from 2+ months biking around South East Asia. Lots of fun, carnage and debauchery. Said whips.....

Started with this on a 1000km loop through the mountains of northern Thailand

Then bought and painted this for the ride down through Vietnam into Cambodia

Rented this for a few days to tear around the hills and beaches in Cambodia

And finished off cruising a Thai island for a few days on this

I see a bobber in my future. lol

Hope that engine is a good one. I was looking forward to watching you break things much quicker last season with a V8 but to no avail.

Told buddy my story and warned him i'd be back if anythings wrong. lol. Buddy seemed cool tho. Had a done up mini truck with an lq9 in it and a shop with a ton of classics. I have vid of the demo'd truck this came out of pulling into the shop and sounded good. Like 160k on it. He was gonna put it in his truck but he stumbled on another with 60k on it. But, people are full of shit, so, fingers crossed. lol

So it turns out the engine is an LQ4, not an LQ9 after pulling plugs and looking at pistons. I can deal with that but almost had a little heart attack after some research yesterday at work why this 6L flexplate has only 3 bolts for the torque converter and everything pointed to 5.3L. Text buddy with some wtf and he swore up and down it was a 6L. Got home checked and sure enough it is a 6L. What messed me up is the sierra denali had awd 4l65e with the 3 bolt flex. So, molotov cocktail roadtrip averted...........for now. lol.

Engines almost ready to go back in. Doing some bay clean up that i left as future Curt's problems like adding tabs to make rad cradle removable and cleaning up some lines. Going to make a cross member to tie a limitimng strap to as well as a center timbren bump.

Anyway, almost ready to go in. Cock bracket installed.

And made some rear head mounts to stiffen/strengthen things up. I'm redoing the exhaust with a couple flex pipes i picked up ran to a poop pipe rock rail so should help the flex pipes last longer, maybe.

Not real exciting but its a start. lol
