Damn. I missed all of this. I actually just heard about this at Ardbeg. Love to hear some safety concerns. I've ripped half the stock shit off my rig in the past so that why i built and am building. So who is the mystery smack talker?

Buckinbullock. I had to customize the ebrake bracket for the longer 9" cables but had some issues and ran out of time before the 24. It'll be working soon. I'm sitting at about 5" of lift. Anymore questions let me know.

I will update this thread soon enough.

Well, i guess i should update. It's all been together for about a month or so and been wheeled a few times. The first test i found out my front shocks where topping out when fully flexed, the rears where touching the tires, and freshly shorten front drive shaft was biting my 3 link mount and snapped the shaft. So all the axle end shock mounts got cut off and new mounts were made as well as some trimming here and there. Had an olf front shaft i found in the rafters and shortened it up. Next wheel, may 24. Got a few good hours of smashing it off the rocks testing everything out when one of the rear upper arms snapped at the bung weld (note: the two rear uppers came with a 60 i had laying around and where the perfect length so i used them. not my welds. ). When the arm gave out smashing up a climb the axle shifted and snapped one of my new bilsteins. FAWK. So pulled the shaft, ratchet strapped the axle in place and drove back to camp. The next day we did some trail welding and i yanked the steering stabilizer and used it for my rear shock via a new bolt welded to the frame. Good to go. LOL. Went for a trial run to this climb i saw across the lake that had been looking at me funny. Up the climb, hit the top and smack, steering box into a rock. Bent the steering shaft and blew out the power steering. FAWK. LOL. So made it home, slapped in durango box number 2 and grabbed a new shock. Next wheel, last weekend. Ran like a champ till the last day when i swamped it. The guts of the cat clangin all over and burning gas like a pig. Time too cut up the YJ. LOL. All in all i was very impressed. (gotta get some wheelin pics off the peeps i was with) Anyway, here's some build pics. I'll take some more pics tonight of a couple other things of done, close ups of the swing out, and a couple carnage parts.

    Cheers

P.S. - since i got the thing like 4 years ago it has never run this smooth. 0-130 is smooth as butter. No shakes, shimmy, DW, nothing.

Nice work Curt, but may I suggest fabbing up some new front fenders for your next trick. What you have now is a serious heat magnet.

Yup, fenders are next up to bat. Also been doin some mechanical and driveline tweakin lately so if i don't bust up anything to bad this weekend the fenders will get started. Also, i'm actually gettin compliments and thumbs up lately by the fuzz as oppose to the pre build dirty looks. Weird.
