You could build a set of headers. You get everything placed exactly where it should be, you choose the correct primary tube diameter and place collectors where they need to be. It's a lot more work but worth it. It isn't hard work - just a little tedious. I ended up building a set headers for my heep. It just made the most sense to get everything fit properly and not be stuck with a shitty flowing set of folds.

I'm not sure if the gen 1 350's (pre 1970 old school) will have the same exhaust mounting as your motor but, there are all kinds of different dumps you can get for them.
Maybe something like this would work. It already has the turn back for you and should allow you to get clearance to send it off what ever way you want to go with it.

Cylinder heads, exhaust ports, etc., are completely different on gen 3 and up engines and not backwards compatible with the Gen 1 and 2 stuff.

Companies like Cone are a great resource for everything to custom build anything to do with exhaust. They have a ton of DIY header kits. The sell flanges, collectors and merges as well to complete the kit. http://www.coneeng.com/tubing_and_bends.html

When I built mine, I just bought what was called a 'box of bends'. It was just a large box of random bends with various lengths of tube and then bought head flanges and collectors. I also skipped the traditional collector flanges and used V-band clamp flanges instead. They are not cheap but you get the perfect union that never leaks and disassembles quickly and easily without the need for any type of gasket.

There are a lot of companies that offer DIY header options. If you have a race car shop near by, they can probably hook you up or you can order everything online.

Yup, thinking building could be a fun little project. It seems all aftermarket are using 1 5/8" x 0.065. Could likely just do all my own bends in 1 3/4, buy a couple collectors and plasma up flanges. That would be nice and cheap! lol.

Still on the hunt for a 6L, tranny and tcase!

You may want to think about the bend radius requirements of your header tubes. The radius requirements can frequently be very small and much tighter than what most home use benders are capable of bending.

You can buy tube kits in any primary tube OD that you like. 1.625" is fine for a 5.3 but a decent 6.0L will make use of 1.75" primaries

So i have a buddy that can laser the exhaust flanges. I can buy collectors. I think my bender minimum is .095 for my 1 3/4" die. All the aftermarket seem to be 1 5/8 with .065 wall. That works out about the same ID for flow. Just not sure if my bends will be tight enough. think its 5.5 CLR. Hmmm. lol

Thanks Bernie! No chance of those fitting as is. New plan tho, might be able to get a pair of something like those no charge in the steel flavour. A little nip n tuck with some hopes n dreams!

Waiting on a willy's grill but got a just in case cj grill. Cut my old stinger/hoop off and mocked up on the Jamaicans. Lol. Would also love a willy's tail gate. If anyone has a line on a willys grill or tail gate hook a brother up!

With the grill, chopped hood and cowl, lowered cage my heep is getting smaller!
