Our area was without suitable high speed internet at a reasonable price until only a few months ago.

I've been snooping at those hubs/internet sticks. Cheapest looks like Wind, 10 gigs for $35 or add 3 more for $10. Have to buy the stick at like $150 then pay as you go. Not sure how well they work tho for porn.....er....i mean netfix. lol. Deadline is KOH so maybe some new lastest and greatest will pop up in the next little while.

10 GB won't get you very far if you are streaming po...I mean video. We had a 4G hub...was glad to see it go. Tether your phone for KOH if you are in a pinch by then.

Netflix movies are on the order of a 1.5gb for a movie if you don't go all the way to 1080p. If you do it gets worse... Wind also has their fair use policy on phone plans. Once you hit the cap it doesn't charge more it just slows down. No good for streaming but it's fine for posting on forums and checking email.

Good to know. I wonder how much data it'll take to stream KOH all day off a tethered phone. I'd guess a bunch of gigs.

Depends on the quality but it wouldn't shock me to find out you maxed out your monthly allotment in one day.

I used the U Stream app on my phone a couple times to stream KOH for most of the day and it wasn't too bad. Maybe a couple GB tops. That was a couple years ago, though. If the video quality has changed a lot since then it might use more.

We use an Android box for TV at home and we are using around 15 GB / week for just that device. We don't mess with too much 1080 stuff because our connection speed isn't really up to par for that without some buffering. 720 works fine, though and there is always an option to pick the desired resolution.

IMO why spend $100 bucks on an android box when there's a program you can download on your laptop/computer called Kodi and have the exact same thing for free...... That's what I do.... Works great

I don't have a computer to tie up running Kodi on a television nor was I interested in buying one. The box was $89 on Amazon and it is tiny so it can be hidden anywhere.

Nothing real exciting but getting closer to starting some rolling. A buddy showed up with a nice haul of free steel! Built a little rack for it, gave the shop a clean then built a roller stand.

My removable gutter mounted tubing roller. Finally found something to use that big ass nut and bolt for, just had to make a 2 1/4" wrench to use it.

A project for tonight will be modding the roller similar to this. Here's hoping it actually makes rolling ~50% easier.
