    Turbo'd on Propane

Thought I'd share a small part of my buggy build. This build is taking way too long , so I figured what the hell. Started my turbo header 2 weeks ago , cut out the flanges from 1/2" plate with the plasma , then drilled the holes for the ports with the hole saw etc. Taped the turbo flange and installed 3/8" studs. Used NSP weldable els for the header tubes ( 90`s and 45`s ) then I built the collector and finished welding it up. I would have cleaned it more but I`m wrapin the tubes with header tape so it aint goona be seen anyway.
Got the header bolted up to the 22RE and plumbed the oil feed line , and the coolant lines as well. Theres more finished but I`ll save that for later.

Few details...IHI Turbo off a Ford Turbo Coupe , fed by an IMPCO 225 mixer and a Renzo converter in a draw through setup ( no intercooler ) a fork lift donated its tank LOL.

Looks good. How did you select the turbo. She'll spool fast but run out of huff. It's a small turbo. Good luck with things.

^ Thats exactly why I chose this turbo , top end horsepower was not the goal. I'm looking for a fast spool to aid in low end power ( getting some wheel speed up while climbing obstacles etc , not for mud boggin lol )

I chose to add a couple cylinders for the same reason but still on bbq juice. If I ever need more power I think a draw through system is easy and cool. Easy is a term i use loosly
