    The one week build

Had the week off and just got my new YJ out here on the weekend. Started out bone stock.
    The plan was
    - 33x13.5 LTBs on 15x8 allied beadlocks (should be here Friday hopefully)
    - stock hieght suspension
    - flat fender front
    - trimmed flares in the back
    - bed liner interior
    - bed liner exterior of the tub and fenders
    - no tailgate with "desert racer" style carrier
    - trimmed front bumper
    - tool boxes on the wheel wells
    - CO2 (mounted in rear)

and over this winter and next season
    - custom front bumper
    - Titan winch
    - Lockright front locker
    - 8.8 rear axle with 4.88s and locked

Heres my progress so far this week

    just got it home

sold the doors, hard top, soft top and tail gate (plan on only running a bikini/jammer and soft doors)

    bed liner

    workin on the bumper

    my console/cooler

opened up the fenders a bit (those are 30s in there for reference)

and the problem I ran into today. Taking it into a shop tomorrow to find out the cost since I currently don't have access to a welder. Might just get some 3/16 angle welded right in

Thats it for now! Hopefully going to get the bed liner done on the outside tomorrow if the weather looks good.

good enough reason in those last 2 photo's to do up some boatsides!!
other than that, seems like a good plan, short and long term.

I was thinking of boatsides but dont have access to a welder right now. I'm still kind of scared to find out whats under the side steps, seems solid but looks are decieving. Might ask about it at the shop, was definatly an idea I was kicking around.

BadCompany, I think I actually burnt out the motor on my skill saw lol. I'm sure my neighbors love me. Today I had two angle grinds, hammer drill, sawzall and skill saw out lol. The cooler is for behind the seat of a reg cab truck but fits perfect between the seats, I love it.

    Nice dude.

I suggest making a real mount for that tire or buy the Pro Comp one.

Hey Hey I rocognize that tire and rim...lmao...just buggin
Like the idea of keepin the COG real low....can you get away with no lift and the 33's....maybe a inch of shackle lift would do ya some good and help it flex a little more too...just a thought
And I agree with Tony....I don't think that the bungies are gonna hold...lol...I know you new that..just buggin...a mount would look real trick in there
Take it that the YJ isn't gonna be a daily driverlol

The last two issues of JP magazine had a feature called No Lift YJ, where they set up a YJ on 40's without a lift kit. They ordered in new rear tub fenders that go up to the rail and did a little cutting, worked great.

Good issues, I got them both sitting right here. Just hoping the high line fenders come out soon and cheap.

haha, it made it all the way to NB, thanks for the hook up muddy

The jeep already has some huge shackles and sagged springs on it. Hoping to find a set of good stock hieght springs to swap in and then probably boomerang shackles.

Planning on doing a proper mount but the auto club on base here is closed and waiting for a new building, so until then, no welder available.

and yes, finally a non-dd jeep thinking of getting a 3 piece tuneau for winter since I don't have any roof right now, just a cab cover I picked up today (and unfortunatly my rims wont be in until Monday now.

Got it painted tonight. Did the fenders and outside of the tub with duplicolor bedliner. Figured it was the best bet since its cheap, easy to touch up, and cover up some of the blems. I need to go back and touch up a few spots as well as some body work but the weather isnt looking promising for next weekend so I wanted to get it done for now.

I'll get some pics in a bit.

Its actually rubberized undergaurd. Goes on thick and just stays how you brush it on. Didn't really care too much how the interior looked and its only $25
