JK Rocker Rails / TJ Corner gaurds & Rocker rails

]I got a good dent in the rear corner of my TJ. Instead of fixing it so I can dent it again, I covered it with 3/16 plate. I also did greens mountain in the sumer and put another dent on the side. I am not going to cover it or fix it so I joined it. I did put some DOM on my rockers to keep the trees away next time. The corners were powder coated and rockers are being powdered right now.

What was the light blue stuff you put on underneath it, paint or some form of rocker gaurd? Looks sweet.

I don't make stuff to sell, I like to post pictures to give other people ideas for there own projects. As far as the bend in the corner gaurds, I have access to a power press brake along with a whole shop full of metal fabricating tools and equiptment. The radius curve layed flat is 5" long, so I Bent it 20 times (every 1/4") at 4.5 deg.

Since then I, along with my Dads help (his Jeep), have added some DOM tubing to the rocker gaurds that we already made last year. Rock Spider bent the tubing for us and I cut the pieces in between with a tube notcher, much easier than the grinder method, and welded them up. We would like to add step plates so we didn't powder coat yet.

Good luck with the JK rockers.
The ones that I made are for the unlimited and the rocker is a compound curve. I have made TJ and working on YJ rockers, they have one 90 deg bend.
The JK was way to involved to get just right. I won't make another set of those!
