    2"bb Lift 97 Grand

Hey guys! was wondering if anyone has installed a 2" BB lift on a 97 grand, zj model? Is there alot involved. Where can i get info on installation or wont i need it. Also what size of tire could i run with this. Right now i have 16 inch rims. Ive heard that a 265/75/16 would be the same as 31.5\10.5/15 in size. Also would i have to trim bumber?
    Thanks for any help
    JEFF

Here is a link to the rubicon express install of their 2"BB

And I do think that a 31" should fit just fine.

I have a 2" bb in my 96 and 31's will fit but if you use stock rims 10.5's will rub on the lower control arms. I went with 9.5 and no rubbing

probably need to trim a hair off of the front bumper. for 31's

    265/75= 31.6x10.43 inches

I got a modified zj that I know my way around...where are ya in oakville? i'll meet ya for a coffee and shoot the shit if you like.

not a difficult install...need jack/stands/basic wrenches and a BFH for the damned trac bars

31x10.5 fit on my zj stock with very minimal rubbing only while the wheel fully cranked. also anyone think a 2inch spacer kit for a ford ranger would work with the grand? (by chance since i have one kicking around?)

The 31's will rub when flexing on stock suspension.

And the lift youre' trying to sell is a body lift. It wont work on a unibody or anything but a ford ranger really.

dont rangers have leaf springs too, lol

you guys want a set of these...and some decent lift shocks, could probably use new shocks anyway...trim 1" off the fenders and wheel the piss out of her

    these are 31's...with 3-1/2" lift.

Thanks for the link! So what would be the biggest size of tire on a 16" rim? 265/75/ 16?

I was wondering the same question, Got me a set of Rubicon wheels I would like to put on, I know just by sticking them on a stock suspension it rubs the bumper, but haven't had it out to flex the suspension, Is it worth the BB lift or should I wait and just get a full lift kit(3-4 inch) instead?

getting a 2 inch spacer lift is good because you can still use it with say a 3 inch suspension lift for a total of 5

For a 16" wheel the rubicon tire (up to 2006) is 245/75/R16 and measures out at 30.7" tall.
And if you measure you clearance and have the room you could go with a 275/70R16 that measures out to 31.2"
