    What I have so far:

Designed around a stock gas tank skid so you can grind off of one and onto the other.

That is just the beginning, I will be putting a tire carrier, hitch receiver and all the rest, just have to get to the drawing.

I will update as it goes, if anyone would like the rear body design as a solidworks file just let me know,I will send because i dont know how to host it somewhere.

    Joel,

No one seemed interested and I got busy with work so I have been focusing on that. Plus I was about 3000Km from home for most of the past 2 months.

I will probably start this back up

Agree, don't own a Grand (too posh!), but man, a grand with 33's and that bumper would look nice!!!!

The hardest part for me is to make the bumper shell out of one piece and bend it all together. That is generally what I try to do to keep the cost down and the strength up.

I usually make the skin out of 1/8 and support it from the back with 1/4 in specific locations so it can be light and equally strong.

the hardest part of the design is to clear all (well, most) of the stock sheet metal and still make it sleek and easily grindable while offering the maximum protection.

I will be into it soon now that you guys are getting me going again.

Would you consider making a front one as well????

I personally love the style of www.kevinsoffroad.com Hardkor bumpers.

I really like that bumper you showed JoeL. I have seen it before somewhere, I have been trying to come up with an idea for a rear, but the way the bumper goes up under the lights is the pain....
I don't have any fancy design programs or anywhere to get stuff bent/cut so its all grinder work for me...
