    My New Ride

heres my new wheels that me and my bestest friend have been working on.......well he's been working on.......i run to the fridge for the beers.
1990 waggy,8" of lift,9" and a D44,4:11 gears,re-grooved(with a double bladed skil saw)H1 military tires,36x12.5x16.5,custom front bumper, warn 8000 winch, rear bumper in the works, just finishing the front suspension(hence the axle stands in photos)still have to build a rear drive shaft to fit the SYE on my 242 t-case,a front shaft out of an XJ is too short.....what do you think?

actually i had talked about putting the 350hp 350 in my shop in it, but i am going to stick with the 4.o just for simplicity and the fuel injection.still going to have to do a bunch of fender trimming to make the 36's fit but it comes down to that will and a way thing

i figure if i takes a good runs at it ,the yella re-enforsemunts should plow thru EH!
and the air works great.....hot in the summer and cold in the winter.....i think its dislexic!!!!

Nice axles! Post up the suspension work, or atleast some picks pls. Throw up some info, and picks of 242 SYE job your doin too! You can get rid of alot of fender with a grinder and hammer, and still make it look decent with some patiance. I've hacked a ton out of mine, and still concider it to look decent. Are you road running it? Thanks for posting your rig!

the pics of the suspension are still coming as it wasn't quite finished yet.we recycled the radius arms out of the axle donor and lengthened them about 6" and added stock leaf spring bushing bushings to the ends.the SYE is the go jeeps style only dirrerence is the shaft was cyt and drilled in a lathe instead of the trusty HnT and the plate that gets bolted on in place of the output housing was custom machined by ny bud who happens to have a machine shop in his garage.we are going to reinforce the framerail that the steering box is on,hopefullythat will keep it from breaking.if that dont work he will add power assist.oh ya .....this rig will not be a trailer queen
