The bumper is not finished yet were about half way haha!!, still needs D-ring tabs put on, some bolts, grinding, finish welding, paint, some more minor bends should be done tuesday!!!

While i was welding up the front end i stopped for a second to find ben with a sawzall!!! hacking his doors apart!! WAAA! now he has half doors too cant wait to go wheeling this weekend in it and freeze my but off haha!

Heres the begining of the half doors, i gotta weld a skin over them for him!

More photos to come as we continue the process on tuesday

I (my wife) has a 98 ZJ and I will be making full body armor for it. Your (ben's) bumper looks great , welds are OK Haha,. Just a little curious about how you take the bumper off when all said and done? If it is permanent how do you get to the winch bolts? I will be watching for more pics as they help me figure out what i can do to mine. Thanx.

Ya some of the welds are decent considering the welder im using, some are crappy, doesnt have to be a peice of art work haha!!

The bumper is perminant, welded and bolted to the uni-frame, it could be unbolted and cut off fairly quickly though... not to hard.

As for winch bolts Bens probably going to drill some 2" holes in the skid plate for access to them, as of right now you can not get to them so that makes it impossible to get your winch stolen so it kinda works out good!

I still needs a bunch of welding, grinding, sanding, patches put on to make it flow nicer but you can see the idea hes going for! im just his welder guy hes the designer

    cheers

FINAL PICTURES!!!!! doors are done, front bumpers/ fender guards are done. woulda looked smoother if i still had the bender but who cares it isnt a beauty contest its all about functionality!

And we came up with this cool idea to skin the bottom of the rear cage i made up for him last summer, obviously needs paint but you get the idea!
