1965 Factory Five Cobra - Few pics

I wasn't exactly sure which section to post this, but others asked for some shots of the Cobra, so here they are. The build is at about 30%, but I hope to have everything done, minus the body by May, and hopefully complete in June.

The motor is currently planned as a 351W bored out to 427 (all aluminum) with ITB stacks. Tranny a TKO 600. I have everything here to finish the car other then body work, engine and tranny, so those two are the next planned items.

Factory Five has a great relationship with the Registrar of Imported Vehicles, and I have a certificate of origin, it will be registered as a 2009 Factory Five Cobra

I won't be using the motor. i bought the block off someone here for cheap, to use it as a coffee table.

The rear is a Ford 8.8 from Ford Racing with a 3.55 LSD The shafts are a little stronger, and once I break this axle.. I will be going to a 9"

    Cough *Roush* cough.

What's the specs on the 351/427?

That thing better not roll out under 800HP. You have the loot and the know how obviously... there's poor bastards with really big fantasies counting on you here.

Ha. You know what the worst part is? I picked this car up from the Factory in Boston in February of last year. It will be exactly a year in a couple of weeks. I haven't worked on the car for about 8 months now. The first 4 months I got alot done, and the last 8 months I have been waiting on ordering a motor mainly because I couldn't justify buying one when I bought the H1, and then the H1 which I thought I would put one or two things on, turned out to be a modification whore. Now I have to settle down on the H1, and save up for a Motor/Tranny combo so I can get her done. And yes.. you are right. I can't wait.

The 427w should be putting out 550HP/550TQ, I do not want to go with a overpriced Roush... the motor alone would be $30k, and produce less power then the motor I want to build.

550HP in a 2000lb car is suicide. 800hp in a 2000LB car is mass suicide, as it will end up turning into a projectile.
