Awesome project man. I'll be looking to do that too.......but not in the forseeable future. It's going to be a while before I could do something like that.

I did look into them a couple years ago (FF) and it definitely seems to be the way to go.

Blue and White stripes definitely the way to go (but a dark red with silver stripes also looks good too)

Yes, it is a dry sump. Only way to go on a high revving V8 IMO.

Took a ride in my buds Factory five he finished last summer, and man I forgot what a heart beat felt like!
His is just a 5.0(302)mustang motor(mild cam, fast rebuild) w/ 8.8 too. He sent his back for paint. Came out nice. Metalic black with dark metalic red stripes. It took him 5 years, but it was built on a much lesser budget(started at 10-12 g's, but ended at 19g's CAN) with a doner 5.0.
I like the colours you picked, and I think your issane to put 600+ hp in that car. Pud's Cobra has maybe 250 hp , and I wouldn't call it "slow".

Do you have a french maid to keep you shop clean? Just joking, Clean shop=clean work. If you DO have a maid in the shop then I will say your living the dream.

There is a Comp custom in there and it idles at around 900rpm

The pump on the motor is not a fuel pump, but rather a dry sump oil pump. The Pump that is in the car is a Aeromotive A1000 which is good for 1600ish HP, (I think it flows a continuous 350 Gallons per Hour)

Oh I know, a ford gt donor cobra is a 12-13 second car. According to a 1/4 Mile calculator this one will be good for 8-9 seconds, but with traction playing a huge role, I will most likely see mid 10 second passes easily.
