We can strap it to the wife's Jeep in the driveway and use your winch... I'm sure the folks in my subdivision would enjoy another redneck experience!

Maybe if all goes as planned we could have coffee at my place this Thursday... I would love to pull the tub off the frame.

Pulled the Dana 60 carrier out... decided against going the "professional" route like they suggest in the video I posted.

Tinkered in the garage a little today... New bearings, seal, rotor and 2" spacer mounted up...

Rear tires bolted up and centered where it will normally sit... Hopefully this is also ride height too

13" of ground clearance for the 14B at 30psi with no load...

Hoping to get the link and coil mounts welded up this weekend for the rear.

Thanks! Also thanks for the tube for my rear setup...

    Some minor updates...

Drilled out the knuckles for 3/4" steering, sandblasted the knuckles and spindle and put TMR's 3/4 ton conversion brackets on.

Can't get your inner spindle bearings out? Weld in a piece of metal to rhe bearings and pound them out...

Leveling and marking the front 60 to be trimmed...

Hmm... good idea! Never thought about using a D30 inside

I haven't fully done the ring gear measurement but I plan on taking roughly a 1/4" off it... putting a flat plate around the bottom then make a notched area for the ring gear to sit in... Something like this... --\_/---

    Re: LJ Fetish

Sounds like an interesting plan. Gives you all the clearance possible and only hangs down where absolutely needed. I like it.

    Rear suspension fully welded up.

Crossmember welded back in... 5" stretch and no money spent on an aftermarket tank... awesome!

Looks good. I would consider boxing in those rear upper mounts. I was routinely tearing mine off the frame with more beef than you have. I will be completely replacing mine this winter.

Really eh... Are you referring to the upper part where the joint sits?

Rear Upper CA mounts on the frame end. I would consider adding maybe a flat plate welded in vertically to cover the horizontal gussets on the front side. I was amazed at the amount of vertical force that was applied to my uppers. They got push down; pulling off the frame the first time, and when I add a bunch of gussets it ended up bending the 1/4" steel brackets in multiple places. I am starting over. That said you are likely fine, it just sucks to find weaknesses in the middle of a climb....

Well don't have too much to update...

Decided it was time to start getting the transfercase issue resolved. Started with my TJ NP231 with a Teraflex Extreme SS SYE that I pulled off along with everything else I didn't need for the doubler and Louie now has.

It's nice to find this deep inside the 231... "MADE IN CANADA"

Here is the D300 I got from Funysandman a couple years ago...

Tearing the D300 apart and putting new bearings in...

I had Mlorint run his fancy Torchmate over some metal for me... Tramp stamp cut along with maple leafs for the corner guards. Thanks again!

Outline marked for the new rear lights I plan on using...

Front mounts all removed and ready to mock up some XJ leaf springs.

Tub and engine/tranny along with Brown Dog motor mounts all installed for hopefully the last time. All holes drilled and nutserts installed for corner guards and tramp stamp.
