    Floor repairs +

Mom's YJ needed some new floors.
We (Mom, Dre and I) stripped, cleaned, cut, patched, seam sealed, P.O.R.'d the floor. We will be, in the next couple of days, we will put the interior back in.

This is what we got done for now.

    little more!
One more coat of grey linner so we put her back together.

Her hood had a bad dent in it from hitting the top of the windshield frame and the tie down was rusty. Mom took them off, plug welded, and smoothed it out. The plan is to have flat black on the raised section of the hood.

Nice work mate! I'd rather pull my fingernails out one by one then do bodywork, but we all know with jeeps it's an eventuality. How long did that take you?

I have to do the same thing to a tub in the shop and im dreading it already.

    Great pictures!

    Nice work and great pictures!
I have to do the same in a few more weeks.

What kind of bed liner did you use? Spray it? Roller?
What is the first coat of white stuff?
Where did you get the sheets of metal for the floor?
    Thanks

This has taken about 30 hrs and counting.
We used Hippo Liner, the first coat is their basic black, the second coat is tintable and was supposed to be dark grey. We're getting another box and trying with a darker toner. The tintable liner is white so the colour lighten up alot.

I finished off the hood. I think it looks better without the dent across it.

We will try the liner again tomorrow and modify the set risers to fit the seats.

Finally got the desired colour . One can of white toner and one of black so we could mix the liner exactly the way we wanted it. I have to let it sit over night. Tomorrow I can finally start putting the interior back together. Still have to seam seal and hippo line the under belly, The plan is to use black so one coat should be good.
For those that are counting, thats two coats of black, one of light grey and one of dark grey. I'm sure there is one more coat in there but I lost count because of the fumes
The old seats just plan out suck! The new ones are black leather with the ability to add a four point harness and they are reclining.
I have 3/16 plate and DOM tubing bent and ready to be made into rocker rails.

    Finished for now

I am finished with this portion of Mom's Jeep. The rocker rails are the next most important item. The drivers seat needs some fiine tunning to the angle of the bracket. The one headlight surround is chrome and the other is black, they both will end up black. I also want to tint the windows.

All that will have to wait untill I finish our TJ.

    Some final pics.
