    New Plasma cutter

I finaly got my new Miller 625 extreme yesterday, it is the best tool I ever bought, there is no way to describe using it. I started a rear bumper build, second one that i have made. This one was so easy, with the plasma. No changing cutting disks, trying to fill gaps with weld, just makes life so much easier. I will be able to build these and other things much faster and better. Here is a couple of pics. The second pic is of the receiver tube hole a little rough but will practice if hope to get better, the last one is a piece of 3" x 3/4.

    Plasma, metal workers best friend.

What is it rated for as of Cut and Sever Cut?

I got a chinese, but had the pleasure of having a Hypertherm for 2years. Given the price difference, ya the Hyper was better, but for a garage tool, Chinese is good enough. My buddies shop has a Hypertherm 1000 or so, 1" Thickness Cut, makes metal disappear in a blink of an eye!!!!

I prefer to build it and not buy it, you see it, I probably made it.

I have Hyp 1250, and a Hyp 1650, and no way would I ever use them at home, or even need them. At home I have a little Chinese one that i cant remeber the name. Works like a damn! I think it was 600 new. Building a rack for the cargo of my Xj; generator, compressor, buzz box...and now the plasma, as I do not want to carry mini oxy/ace with me on the trail.
I think the thickest I have cut is 1/4", but it a great little unit.

    I have 85 of them.
The only problem is they are stuck in Vancouver . the shipper had the final destination wrong and now i can not get them to Toronto without clearing customs in Vancouver first.
and then i have to have a freight company send them by truck instead of CN which is a lot cheaper for me. This little mess up is going to cost me a fair bit.

That is shitty. Any idea on the costs of these machines when they come in?
