99TJ Cage, Seats and what not

So the start of the winter went by with all the Gen Right stretch stuff in the shop and the Stretch Tank already on the truck. 37's on a stock wheel base, with spool and short arms will work, but can be improved upon

Mission: LA Stretch and maybe Coil overs.

    End result: Fail.

I couldn't figure out what I wanted Kit wise or if I wanted to tackle it myself and buy the mounts from someone.

Long story short I'm running the tank for the summer and I'll get back to that work

Which leads me up to having to do something before spring

I ran the stock cage for a year or so and then added the PSC weld in trail cage. Great kit and no complaints for 2 or so years. One thing I didn't like is it wasn't mounted to the frame. I also wanted new seats

So I ordered new Mastercrafts, a full Cage with 6 point tie in, and Seat tube work and we got to work. (there is a way longer version of this story I'll try not to get into)

Wiring with seats eh, Ya I opted for Lumbar and Heated ass in them

    Starting out

As much of a "Kit" as this was supposed to be, well there was a lot of notching work to be done. When I saw the estimated time at 20 hours and thought we could do it faster, I was wrong. Luckily I've got a couple real good guys around that can help in a huge way with this, and some that help me drink while watching them.

    Frame Tie-in "Kit"

    Finally getting somewhere

It was great with the wheels off for the few hundred trips in and out of the truck

Here's after the first pull, There are way more pics, this is the just of it. If anyone wants to see anything in particular let me know

hopefully doesn't get used to this position

    Texas Tig anyone

here's where its at now. Seat tube work still to go on and some clean up. Then paint or powder, haven't decided. Really looking forward to the new seats going in

Any guys do Powder coating around here?

Awesome seats. Exactly what I have been looking for to replace mine. It looks like they even recline. Where did you order them from and what do they go for???

Also, what is that silver oval shaped thing behind the drivers door??? Thanks.

You always seem to spot that truck

Tank install was a breeze, soaked the nuts for a week or so first. Mine came without straps though for some reason, something to check. I'm running without right now(in and out of the shop). One thing I think I will do is pull it back out and chop an inch plus out of the skid to bring the tank up higher. With a one inch BL in there, there is tons of wasted space above the tank.

yea, i've been looking for a truck forever it seems so my eyes always wander. It's a beauty truck you've got, it's just hard to part with money.

Thanks for the tip on the skid, i also have a 1" body lift and tucking it up in there is a priority.

BTW, i'm not stalking you, just like those trucks.
