yes,do a search on this site it has been done pretty easy,if I remember there are differences in the centre mounts ,and I guess you know the windshield frames and hinges are quite different as well

You have to move all the body mounts on the frame, I did it only the other way around

The fenders, hood, and grille, and doors and roof are differant as well. Have seen it done, from a distance it looked ok. Up close, not so much. A lot of work, probably not worth it unless you have two good donors. Things to consider..would have to be licenced as a TJ and pass emissons as one. ( has to be registered as what it looks like, not what it is)

What about a CJ? I just found a line on a brand new CJ fiberglass tub and front end. My YJs body is pretty much finished, anyone every do that? A CJ body on a YJ? I dont run doors anyways so i think i would just have to get a windshield. But if its a really big job i'll keep lookin for a good YJ body.

Not too much difference in a CJ and YJ body, just have to move one set of body mounts, #4 in the picture attached on a yj they are about 6" closer to the front. Also, the mounts on the rear cross member are about 1.5" father apart on a YJ compared to a CJ (#7).

The only other issue is with the windshield defrost vents YJ and CJs use different routing of the air.

mine is a cj tub on a yj, mine had no holes for mounting so it wasnt a big deal. you will need some pieces off your steel tub, and make templates out of cardboard for the firewall etc. you can save some money if your fab skills are ok, as there are a lot of brackets, reinforcements etc that are extra. I did all my own

This caught my attention. I will contact the MOT tomorrow to confirm this. I don't believe it's correct. If I put the dash of one Jeep into another, the Jeep does not become' the other. IIRC, you must remove the VIN from the dash and permanently afix it to the replacement. That's all.
