    JK Snorkel Questions

    Hey guys and gals.

Had a little trouble with my Jeep taking a little drink of water and thought it was about time to get an insurance policy in the way of a snorkel.

Anyone out there have a JK snorkel that works well or doesn't and want to share pics, stories or advice? I don't think I want to mount one in the hood but if there is some advantage let me know.

The other thing on my mind is do they help millage or not? I have heard lots of conflicting information. I know I am running 35s and will never get GREAT millage but a little help wouldn't be refused either. I figure if it saves me a little on a tank of gas the more runs I can make...

    Yes I know...A Jeep is not a boat...YET

I'd do the AEV Snorkel cause its only a notch in the hood and no inner fender cutting or moving crap around.

Or Safari Snorkel cause they love down under.

This guy did pretty good with his homemade one I think..

Like ChrisBuilt said, the AEV is pretty popular

and easy to install with a notch in the hood. But if you don't wants something on the hood like you said, there's always RiverRaider's one...

Cool thanks. Looks like I do have a few options and I don't really want to move to much around under the hood.

when driving with a snorkel and its raining does water tend to go down it? Even if some did i doubt it would be much, but has anyone ever had any problems with it getting into the engine?

Does gas mileage suffer with a snorkel?
