    1967 Cj6

    hey guys new to this chat forum recently got a 1967 CJ6 one of the short ones i grandfather had it in his barn since 1972 finally conviced him to give it to me so i trailered it back to my place drain the fuel and put some fresh some in it and she fired up he said he has not had it running in 9 years i was wonder what i should look out for if there is any know problems with these thing

    i am looking to put a lift in the suspension and the body and a motor swap any ideas? thx

    depending on the shape
    i might not do anything but restore to OG..
    it would be worth more that way then fully modded

    how can i tell if it is a cj5 or cj6 the owership does not tell me and the jeep dealer around here says the vin does not go into his system does the cj6 have the gas tank under the drivers seat mine does

    the CJ5 and CJ6 are similar excluding the wheelbase, the cj6 is much longer

    i measured the wheelbase last night it was 81" so i would guess it would be a cj5 right

    i started stripping it apart last night and what a wiring messy behind the gauges the guy before my grandfather had a plow on the front so there was wires and toggle switches every where trying to trace wires finally gave up and cut out everything but the ignition
    took the hvac unit out wont be needing that anymore

    Is this staying road legal? If so, you'll need the heating system functional or it will not pass MOT Safety. And besides, a cool night and a fogged windshield suck.
