    changing tail gate cables ?

    trying to replace the cables on my tail gate but cant get the little latches off the side of my tail gate how do ya get them off to get that end of the cable off ??

    it a 2002 sonoma if that helps...

    Tried to look up a picture and came up only with this;


    If that's correct, one side will slide up and over the stud, and the other will need to be unbolted.

    Snap a picture for us. This can't be difficult, just gotta see how they're mounted.

    ya i think i will snap a pic later today when i find the camera,

    i know that the box side just slides over the pin, but the one were the latch for the tail gate on the side of the gate doesnt seem like there is a c-clip or anything holding it on..

    It has been a while but I think one side bolts on. IIRC all of the ones I have dne are torx. Can't comment on the Sonoma directly but hope this helps.
