andys jeep (yes i have a jeep)

ok so over the last year i have been putting parts away to rebuild a jeep to my liking.

i need some help with the direction im going to go and what final parts im going to need to get it to work opinions please.

    here is the parts list
    -77 bronco hp d44
    -bronco 9in rear
    -6 in xj rear leafs
    -69 351 windsor (needs rebuild)
-88 302(5.0) mustang engine ready to rumble
    -th350 trans
    -np231j with 6pin planitary from 231hd
-ford 31 spline input np 205

is it worth getting a spud shaft and adapting the th350 to the np205?

should i source out a zf5 speed (i hear it bolts up to the 205 with mods)
would the zf handle the well built windsors? 300hp 330tq?

im open to all possible combos but i realy have my heart set on the windsor small blocks

its all gong to find its home in a stout yj frame with a gen right diy roll cage
i also hope to run 37 bogger tsl combo on the lightly modded axles.

and a before shot of the worn down jeep

What about using a Ford C 6 trans. Would that not bolt right up to the 351 and 205?

Start stripping and hacking and getting shit done and go form there!!

I say go SOA, with F-150 leafs in the back, exploder leafs up front, that will give you room for up to 40" tires no problem, it will stretch yoru ass end like 5" or so to give you better drive shaft angle to!!!

The put your axles under it, tires, roll cage, and by then your motor will be rebuilt, ready to toss in in a weekend and you can be wheeling!!! youll figure your motor combo out by the time the rest of the jeep is built and then you can put up pictures!

I am going to stick my 2cents in as well. If you are going to use the turbo 350, you can buy an out put shaft and adpter for the turbo 350 to a Dana 300. Then again you could run a jeep 231 as a doubler to the Dana 300, flip it and have a lot of gear options. Just the 231 to D300 ratios gives you about 7to1 at the D300 out put youke. ( thats not including your trasn first gear ratio as weel). Why not run a 4speed auto with the doubler, etc. The options are endless, or as many as your cash will let you go. I wnet through as this as well. Jeep parts are easy to find. All the best with your choice. I vote doubler. Cheers. Rusty Iron

That's a pretty skinny tire in the back...going for the cut through the mud and get to the bottom approach?

I should be able to drop by a few times this month during the week to give you some help...even if it's just sorting sockets!
